The
Tambo Amazonico Lodge is located on the shores
of the Yarapa River, at 75 miles SW of
Iquitos
(4-hour trip), is
Paseos Amazonicos Jungle Lodges proposal for
those who require very-close-encounters with
wildlife. Due to its strategic natural
environment position in the
Pacaya Samiria National
Reserve buffer zone and closeness to
the Amazon River
formation, access from Nauta, visitors find rich biodiversity in
its surroundings.
For environment conservation sake the Tambo
Amazonico Lodge was not planned to shelter large
groups and thus its dimensions are inferior to
those of the
Amazonas
Sinchicuy Lodge or
Tambo Yanayacu
Lodge; thereof comforts offered are basic.
It has two shared rooms and each one can
accommodate up to 10 people. Rooms are insect
screened but mosquito net for bed is also
provided.
The bathrooms and showers are found outside the
rooms. It has a dining room with a lounge area,
a kitchen and storage rooms. Protection provided
by screen and nets are very much appreciated
considering the wet tropical forest conditions
found in this area.

the highest avian diversity. The private reserve
is located between the Pacaya Samiria National
Reserve and the Tamshiyacu - Tahuayo, two
protected areas that stand out because of their
rich biodiversity.
